Blas Glas

Blas Glas is a 7 acre farm in-conversion to organic status growing vegetables, fruit, flowers and herbs.

Much of the production focuses on baby vegetables, salad mixes and culinary herbs.  Owned by Richard Slevin and Beryl McCrainey Slevin of Beal an Atha, Co Mhaigh Eo, the farm is located in one of the last remaining agricultural zones outside of Ballina town.  We are surrounded by the natural amenities of the Ox Mountains, Nephin and the Moy river.

Blas Glas is an opportunity for the community and visitors to our area to eat the freshest, most nutritious produce available, to establish a relationship with the farm and farmers where the food is grown, to keep food euros in the local economy and help protect the surrounding agricultural environment.

Blas Glas is committed to encouraging profitable, sustainable rural life whcih integrates farm production and self-catering accommodation with long-term environmental goals.  This includes promoting the Irish language, year round farm employment, building healthy soil and maintaining and increasing habitat for beneficial insects and wildlife.
