Nature’s Best

Nature’s Best is the leading Irish producer of vegetable based chilled convenience foods. The company was founded in 1987 by Paddy Callaghan and quickly developed a reputation for innovation in the fresh vegetables and salads market. It currently employs 210 people in a state of the art factory in Drogheda, County Louth.

Location
In 1985, Nature’s Best Ltd began in a garage located in a rural setting in Co. Meath, 7 miles south of Drogheda. In 1987, Nature’s Best operated from a small purpose built 2,000sq. ft. premises and was extended on several occasions to meet a rapidly expanding market. By 1996 the enterprise had extended to 15,000 sq. ft.

During this growth phase Nature’s Best made a strategic decision to build a new green field factory in Drogheda. It was anticipated that this move would address the challenges of space, staff mobility, twentieth century production standards and nationwide distribution requirements. In 1999, the new state of the art 55,000sq. ft. factory was completed and is currently Nature’s Best Ltd headquarters.
