P McCann and Sons

P McCann and Sons was founded in 1968 by Mr. Patsy McCann in a small pack house at the back of the McCann family homestead outside Loughgall, Co. Armagh. The McCanns are the leading packers and processors of apples, pears, pure apple juice and cider produced at their in Carn Food Park, Portadown, Co. Armagh.
After almost 40 years the company is now managed by two generations of the McCann family. McCanns are well known throughout Ireland and the UK for the service and products they provide. McCanns are listed with all major supermarket chains across the UK and Ireland, and are committed to developing more local products with growers across Ireland and the UK, as sales continue to grow in the supermarkets, wholesale markets and catering markets.
Mc Cann’s diversity is not only shown through their product range featuring many varieties of apple, but also in the recent production of their new apple juice and cider range. In 2006, they began to produce their own pure apple juice and high quality “Apple Cider”, using local and UK apples. They also distribute high quality organic produce, which is certified by the Organic Trust.
Investment and growth is present at McCanns as plans get underway for a new State of the Art Juicing and Cider Plant and increased Storage Facilities. These new facilities will improve services, efficiency and sales. McCanns is leading the way forward for growers to invest in new plantations and looking into new apple varieties as well as plums and pears. They also assist the growers to meet the highest accreditation required by the EEC Standards and auditing bodies.
