Shamrock Foods is Ireland’s leading sales, marketing and distribution company. As well as being a member of the IAWS Group plc, Shamrock Foods is also home to two of Ireland’s leading food brands - Shamrock and Roma.

History
Founded in the 1950s by the Deignan family, Shamrock Foods is one of Ireland ‘s heritage food brands and market leader for homebaking in terms of range and quality product offerings to the consumer. A firm favourite in the hearts and minds of Irish consumers for over 50 years, the brand offers a broad selection of dried fruit, nuts, sugars, flour, glace fruits and many more baking ingredients.

In the early 1970s, Shamrock Foods was acquired by Whitworths, the largest fruit and nut supplier in the UK market.

In 1989 Shamrock Foods was acquired by IAWS Group plc. Shamrock Foods remains a 100% Irish-owned company to this day.

2003 was one of the most exciting in the long history of the brand, the culmination of which was a complete rebranding that involved a new logo, revitalised packaging and the addition of many new and exciting products to the range. This new image was designed to give the brand a more contemporary look while still reflecting its core values of heritage and quality.

As part of the rebranding, Shamrock also launched a new range of snacking nuts called Shamrock Snack Packs. These have proved extremely popular with Irish consumers looking for a healthy alternative to confectionery.

Shamrock Foods offers a new range of seeds, dried fruit and nuts under the brand ‘Just’. ‘Just’ - No Additives - No Flavourings - No Colours - Just Natural! - was launched in response to increasing consumer demand for healthier snacking and baking options.
