Organic Production Courses (25 hours) - FETAC accredited - are being held in Ennis, Athy and Newcastlewest in November 2008.
Ennis - November 19th, 26th. December 3rd, 8th and 10th from 7 to 10 pm; December 5th and 12th (afternoon farm walks). Contact: Teagasc Ennis 065 682 8676.
Athy - November 13th, 20th, 27th, December 4th (7 to 10.30 pm) and December 11th and 18th afternoon farm walks. Contact Teagasc Athy 059 86 31719.
Newcastlewest - November 11th, 18th, 25th, December 2nd (7 to 10.30 pm) and November 28th and December 5th afternoon farm walks. Contact Teagasc Newcastlewest 069 61444.
On completion of the courses participants will be proficient in the interpretation of the organic standards; the principles of organic production; the origin and history of organic production and the assessment of the economic viability of organic production and associated marketing opportunities.
Cost of participation is Euro 100.
