McWilliams, Stan and Bernice Maher

Stan McWilliams has been organically managing the family farm at Muff in North Co Donegal for the past 14 years.

With his family, Stan produces organic beef and lamb on the farm - some of this is sold freezer-ready to a loyal group of friends and customers.  The farm also produces cereals.  Over half of the 40Ha farm is in broadleaf and conifer forest, and further small sections and shelterbelts have been planted around the farm as nature and conservation areas.

There is a very productive kitchen garden which supplies the family’s domestic needs. 

Stan is a founder member of North West Organic Co-operative and is committed to farmers working together in their mutual interest and for the benefit of the wider community.
