N. Smyth & Co. Ltd - or ‘Smyths’ as we are known in the trade - is a third generation family company operating for over 80 years, which has imported and distributed a comprehensive and competitively priced range of quality fresh fruit and vegetables for the multiple, wholesale, retail and foodservice industries.

Our speciality are bananas which account for over a third of our trade.  We are the only independent banana importers/ripeners in Ireland.  Our state-of-the-art ripening facility in Blanchardstown is the most modern of its kind in the country. However, the bulk of our business remains the sale of all general fruit & vegetable lines including the following:

•      General vegetables (toms, peppers, cues etc)
•      Citrus (oranges, lemons, mandarins etc)
•      Topfruit (apples, pears etc)
•      Salads (lettuces, onions etc.)
•      Soft & stone fruit (peaches, nectarines, grapes,  kiwi etc)
•      Exotics (mangoes, okra, plantain, pines etc)

We have fresh produce arriving on a daily basis, direct from Europe and around the world.  The vast majority of lines are imported directly rather than purchased from other importers

In Ireland we have facilities in Blanchardstown and beside the Dublin Fruit Market, so if we don’t have it for you in stock immediately, we will rapidly source it for you.
