The 2009 AGM of the Organic Trust Limited was held at the renowned BrookLodge Hotel in Macreddin Village, Co Wicklow and boasted an exceptional level of attendance.

Organic Trust members were treated to a day of interesting, uplifting and motivational speeches from the three keynote speakers at the event - Trevor Sargent, TD, Minister for Food & Horticulture; Lawrence Woodward, OBE, Director of the Organic Research Centre at Elm Farm in the UK and Darren Grant, Proprietor of The Organic Supermarket in Blackrock.

The 2009 AGM emphasised yet again that organic production is the way forward and is one of only a handful of sectors which continues to experience year-on-year growth.  During a very lively questions and answers forum, attendees were given an opportunity to air their views; suggest further ways forward and brainstorm ideas to ensure the continuance of a vibrant industry which supplies tasty, nutritious and wholesome food to consumers everywhere.

The Organic Trust were heartened at the level of attendance at this year’s event which took place at the BrookLodge Hotel, Macreddin Village, Co Wicklow which hosts Ireland’s only certified organic restaurant - The Strawberry Tree Restaurant.
