The National and European Ploughing Championships will take place from September 21st 2010 to September 23rd 2010 at Cardenton, Athy, Co Kildare.

The NPA are delighted to return to the Fennin Farm again this year as the 2009 event was a resounding success, both from the quality of the land for the much important ploughing competitions to the accessibility of the site for exhibitors and visitors.
The NPA are also very pleased to be hosting the first European Reversible Championships ever to be held in Ireland. This competition will take place on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 24th and will see competitors and visitors from no less than 15 countries visit Athy, giving the event a truly International flavour.
Athy in Co Kildare has hosted this prestigious event on three previous occasions - the first of which was in 1931, the first ever Ploughing Championships, the second in 1955 for the Silver Jubilee and last in Kilkea in 1985. Athy is one of the best tillage belts in the country and the Fennin Farm on the Stradbally Road is an ideal location for the 2010 Ploughing Championships. The land is extremely good; the location is excellent and accessible, all these factors should make this year an extremely successful one as it did in 2009.
