Organic Demonstration Farms - Scheduled Farm Walks for 2011

The Department of Agriculture, Marine and Food have designated 19 official Organic Demonstration Farms for 2011 and farm walks have been scheduled on these units from June to September 2011. We urge anyone who is interested in converting to organic production to attend at least one of these events in 2011.

Teagasc, the Department of Agriculture, Marine and Food, and the Organic Trust Ltd invite anyone interested in converting to organic production to see organic farming in practice and to meet and speak with the producers and the sector’s experts.

Your questions about all aspects of organic production can be answered at first-hand and you can see exactly how compliance with the organic regulations can be achieved.  The Organic Trust have arranged for an approved Inspector to attend each event on behalf of the organisation so that your technical questions can be fully responded to.  Dont miss the great opportunities presented by these events which will facilitate you making an informed decision about converting to organic production.
